Job summary

LM Wind Power / GE is seeking a part-time faculty member to oversee course delivery and student evaluation in health information management and data analysis. Job description

Job Description Summary: Each part‑time faculty member reports to a chair or director, satisfies criteria for accreditation, possesses subject matter expertise, and has the following instructional and institutional responsibilities:

Responsibilities
  • Design courses, deliver instruction, evaluate student learning, and incorporate college‑required technology.
  • Plan, organize, and deliver instruction in health information management, data analysis, and technology.
  • Teach in both live classroom and online environments, including instruction via Learning Management Systems.
  • Provide virtual and in‑classroom management, guiding student performance, classroom behavior, and ensuring student success and retention.
  • Prepare course outlines, lesson plans, quizzes, exams, grading, taking class roll, and contribute to textbook selection.
  • Develop, manage, and assess student, course, and program learning outcomes.
  • Promote rigorous instruction and engagement, curriculum enhancement, student success, retention, and faculty scholarship.
  • Collaborate with other faculty and staff to develop, evaluate, and revise curriculum.
  • Collaborate with lead faculty to implement technology‑based instructional components in accordance with accreditation/state framework requirements.
  • Cooperate as a team member.
  • Strictly honor privacy, security, and confidentiality of student records and other sensitive information per state, federal, and college regulations.
  • Provide a flexible schedule at multiple sites, including online.
  • Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • AS degree or four‑year degree in a qualifying field (e.g., Health Information Management, Health Information Technician, Medical Records Administrator, Informatics, IT, or data analytics).
  • Current AHIMA credential such as Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA).
  • Experimental criminal background check will be conducted.
  • Preferred: Experience in online teaching, real‑world examples for classroom discussions, and commitment to students and excellence in undergraduate education.
  • General skills: Interactive customer service, collaborative relationships, effective communication, and proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary

Salary: Determined per the SF Salary Schedule.

Reports To

Academic Chair, Business Programs.
