Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District seeks part-time faculty in Social Sciences with a focus on anthropology/archaeology to support the colleges in San Diego County. This is a part-time faculty position (<67% FTE) with duties across classroom instruction, student evaluation, curriculum, student advising, and professional development in alignment with the district’s equity goals.

The starting salary range is $70.84 - $86.11 per hour (Class II, step 1 to Class VI, step 1) based on the Adjunct, Overload and Substitute Salary Schedule. Anticipated start date is Spring 2027; applicants must meet minimum qualifications or submit Equivalency materials as required.

Qualifications

• Master’s in anthropology or archaeology is required.
• Bachelor’s in anthropology or archaeology plus Master’s in sociology, biological sciences, forensic sciences, genetics or paleontology is required.
• Equivalent qualification may be submitted via Equivalency process.

Responsabilités

• Teach and support undergraduate anthropology/archaeology courses.
• Evaluate students and assign grades according to department policies.
• contribute to curriculum development and review, and advise students as needed.
• Engage in professional development activities and meet assignment-specific needs.

Formation

Master’s in anthropology or archaeology

Bachelor’s in anthropology or archaeology AND Master’s in sociology, biological sciences, forensic sciences, genetics or paleontology
