State of Georgia is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member in Film Technology to teach and supervise students in a growing curriculum. The role includes preparing lesson plans, evaluating progress, and managing supplies and budget in a part-time capacity.

Preference given to candidates with experience in Movie Magic, Final Draft, Adobe Premiere and teaching. This position is part-time with no health benefits and requires background checks.

• Maintains program certification requirements, as appropriate;
• Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports;
• Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area;
• Meets with students, staff members and other educators to discuss students instructional programs and other issues impacting the progress of the students;
• Assists with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Applicant must possess Associate Degree in film or media, fine arts, communication or related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in film or television production.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor Degree in film or media, fine arts, communication or related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in film and television production.

Searching for someone who is multi-disciplinary with broad production skills who can cover assorted classes in a growing curriculum.

Preference given to those with experience with Movie Magic software, Final Draft, Adobe Premiere.

Previous teaching experience a plus.

SALARY:

This is a part-time position without insurance benefits: work hours will not exceed 29 hours per week. Hourly rate is commensurate with education and work experience.
