Job summary

Collabera in Auburn Hills, MI seeks a laboratory technician for a 12‑month contract to support adhesives and materials testing in an industrial R&D environment.

You will prepare intermediates, weigh materials, operate mixers, collect data, and document results while maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced team.

This role requires a high school diploma with STEM interest; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, and comfort with Excel and basic data analysis.

Qualifications

• Laboratory experience in an industrial or R&D environment is required.
• High school diploma/GED required; STEM associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Polymers knowledge is preferred but not required.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Outlook) and Teams.
• Comfort entering data and analyzing in Excel or other software.

Responsibilities

• Co-develop new products according to customer needs and strategy.
• Prepare intermediates and adhesive batches; weigh and charge raw materials.
• Conduct lab tests on adhesives; collect data and document results.
• Work in teams for scale-up following procedures and capabilities.
• Collaborate to learn best lab practices and work safely and independently.
• Ensure product quality meets customer specs; stay aware of EH&S practices.
• Maintain lab equipment as ERP with daily calibration/verification.
• Perform and document health and safety audits.
