Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC is seeking an Analytical Chemist to perform analytical testing and material characterization for pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape products, supporting R&D, manufacturing, QA, and customer initiatives. You will apply a broad range of techniques to evaluate materials and enable product development.

You will collaborate with formulation chemists and engineers, maintain records in LIMS, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards while advancing new adhesive

Qualifications

• Experience with analytical chemistry principles and data interpretation.
• Experience with chromatography, spectroscopy, thermal analysis, and rheological characterization.
• Strong documentation and data integrity skills.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and physical analyses of adhesives, coatings, backings, release systems, and raw materials.
• Prepare laboratory samples using extraction, purification, and preparation techniques.
• Conduct material characterization using GC/MS, HPLC, GPC, FTIR, UV-Vis, XRF, DSC, and TG.
• Analyze complex data sets and generate scientifically sound interpretations.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to project teams and management.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment; manage data in LIMS.
• Ensure compliance with safety, ISO, and quality standards.
