Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC is seeking a Senior Scientist/Engineer to join our New Product Development team. You will study pressure sensitive adhesives, their structure, and how manufacturing affects performance to enable design, development, and scale‑up of PSA tapes and related products.

You will collaborate with Marketing and Manufacturing on complaint resolution, VOC activities, and cost‑reduction initiatives, contributing to innovation and product excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong background in applied polymer science (physical, chemical, material and rheological characterization).
• Experience with interpretation of polymer analytic data (GPC, DSC, TGA, FTIR, SEM, DMA).
• Knowledge of PSA adhesives and polymer coatings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety standards and environmental compliance.
• Design PSA adhesive formulations and coating methods with NPD teams.
• Conduct research on structure, properties, and performance of adhesives to improve products and processes.
• Lead and manage NPD projects with clear goals, specs, and documentation.
• Support patent literature review and intellectual property development.
