Job summary

Seurat is seeking an experienced Additive Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join our MA-based team. You will work with engineers, technologists, vendors, and senior management to scope, schedule, and present deliverables for multi-discipline printing systems, with emphasis on opto-mechanical and high-power laser equipment.

The role requires a strong systems engineering background, 5+ years in architecture and engineering, and experience with LPBF metal AM facilities.

Qualifications

Requires a strong systems engineering background and product development cycle understanding.
Experience evaluating and mitigating technical risk is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional work.

Responsibilities

Operate printer to produce parts per manufacturing plan, run DOEs for process development, and generate job reports.
Respond to printing operation issues and adjust parameters to maximize success.
Perform basic equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Report printing operation issues.
Handle pre- and post-printing procedures including cleaning and loading materials.
Collaborate with design engineers to improve printer design.
Monitor technical deliverables on product development programs.
Analyze engineering proposals and data.
Define project scope with multidisciplinary teams.
Oversee subsystem and system prototype construction, verification and testing.
