Job summary

Divergent is seeking a Service Specialist to maintain and enhance our Additive Manufacturing equipment in Los Angeles. You will develop maintenance strategies, diagnose complex failures, and implement improvements to maximize part quality, machine availability, and throughput.

You will work with PLCs, controls, and calibration workflows, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure safety and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent maintenance technician experience.
• Automation and machine control experience with troubleshooting capabilities.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Hands-on interest working with additive technology in a factory setting.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Own the performance of AM equipment by developing and implementing maintenance strategies.
• Diagnose complex failures and determine root causes with corrective actions.
• Analyze machine performance and implement improvements to reliability and throughput.
• Design and improve maintenance procedures, calibration methods, and operating standards.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve issues.
• Interpret electrical schematics and drawings to solve technical problems.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in line with AS9100 and IATF 16949.
