Description
PROFILE

The Additive Manufacturing Project Specialist is an intermediate-level role responsible for discovery, estimating, and project management of custom client projects. Projects relate to prototype development, limited production cast urethane, and appearance models across a range of industries. Additive Manufacturing Project Specialists are detail oriented, resourceful problem solvers who can learn complex product information, recommend practical solutions, and build strong customer relationships.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Take inbound phone calls from customers requesting quotes or placing orders
  • Communicate with customers to learn the nature of their project requirements and quote recommended services/processes/materials
  • Follow up on quotes and convert to orders
  • Proactively process orders and identify & provide solutions to project issues and relay them to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Manage approved suppliers as required by the project
  • Provide backup project support when a team member is out of the office
  • As needed, help physically process/finish/ship orders
  • Willingness to learn new machines, processes, materials, & approaches
  • Ability to travel to client sites for project meetings & support Outside Sales
  • Observe all Safety and Quality Procedures. Wear all the required PPE (gloves, lab coats, etc.).
  • Weekend availability may be required based on business needs, with advance notice where practicable.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, consistent with the scope and level of the role.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Two to four years of experience in additive manufacturing environment
  • Strong phone presence with excellent communication skills
  • Disciplined work ethic with sharp attention to detail
  • Ability to follow direction, execute tasks promptly, and use sound judgment when escalating questions, risks, or safety concerns.
  • Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and a solutions-oriented approach to solving problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understands business-to-business selling approach
  • Extensive knowledge of 3D printing systems and traditional fabrication methods
  • Must demonstrate the ability to learn new techniques.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Where applicable, employment may be subject to verification of eligibility to access export-controlled information or work under customer or government contract requirements.
  • Ability to delicately finish small parts using various tools
  • Advanced math and computer skills
  • Expert understanding of technical drawings
  • Ability to perform essential physical functions of the role, which may include lifting up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
COMPENSATION
  • $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
