ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril develops advanced technology for the defense sector, some components of which fly. With a focus on fabricating components, integrating assemblies, and performing end-of-line checkouts, the Additive Manufacturing Lead Technician will join an elite team tasked with developing new hardware alongside engineers, and reliability and safely building production volumes of flight articles to sell to customers.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for an Additive Manufacturing Lead Technician to join our rapidly growing team in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of highly talented technicians to produce development and production products for Anduril, working closely with engineers on design, fabrication, and software aspects of the products. This will require strong and empathetic leadership. If you are someone who thrives in this type of environment then this role is for you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Schedule production and ensure quality of delivered parts.
  • Drive individual contributor accountability within their respective work center.
  • Maintain inventory of 3D printing materials, consumables, and spare parts.
  • Serve as the POC for all field service requests, including scheduling OEM site visits, remote troubleshooting, and hospitality of OEM representatives when onsite.
  • Coordinate with supply chain and program managers to prioritize tasks.
  • Manage planned and unplanned maintenance of 3D printers and other equipment, work with tech support to maximize machine availability.
  • Provide training and support to technicians and engineers for additive manufacturing equipment and tools.
  • Provide feedback to design and product teams on the part files from the aspect of manufacturability.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience running SLS/MJF, FDM, and SLA 3D printers in an enterprise/industrial setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in production scheduling and equipment/resource management to meet on-time delivery.
  • Maintenance of industrial additive manufacturing equipment.
  • CAD and .stl file manipulation.
  • Creating nesting files for printers that result in the efficient production of high quality parts.
  • Prior experience leading a team either in-kind or directly, in a fast-paced manufacturing/fabrication environment.
  • Proficient with common hand tools and light power tools.
  • Ability to identify issues impeding progress to production schedule and competently communicate issues to Production Management and Leadership.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and results-focused mindset during high stress situations.
  • Experience training and coaching individual contributors in respective work center to proficiency.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4+ years leadership experience; leading a team of direct or indirect reports.
  • Experience in start-up, or equivalent fast-paced culture.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite/other Oracle ERP Systems.
  • Prior hands-on experience with kit, model, or experimental aircraft builds or familiarity with aircraft components and typical descriptions.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Math, Hard Science, Business, etc.).
  • Experience with common aerospace construction techniques such as riveting, mechanical fasteners, nut plates, etc.

US Hourly Range: $26.15 - $39.23 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
