Institute For Advanced Learning And Research in Danville, VA is seeking an ATDM Precision Manufacturing Technician – CNC Machining to keep training labs running smoothly. You will set up machines, prepare tooling, and ensure labs stay on schedule alongside instructors and students.
The role requires a High School diploma, CNC experience, and hands-on machining skills, with a third-shift schedule (2:30 pm–11:30 pm) and shift differentials. Benefits include health, retirement, PTO, and holidays.
Sign‑On Bonus: $1,000 available to eligible new hires ($500 after 30 days and $500 after 90 days of continuous employment). Subject to taxes.

As an ATDM Precision Manufacturing Technician – CNC Machining, you’ll be a key part of keeping the training labs running smoothly day in and day out. Your work happens on the shop floor, side‑by‑side with instructors and students, making sure machines are set up correctly, tooling is ready, and labs stay on schedule.
Shift assignments are determined by business needs and may change over time based on program demand, individual performance, and tenure. Your pay will include a shift differential based on the class times you are assigned to support.
