The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research in Danville, VA is seeking a hands-on ATDM Precision Manufacturing Technician – CNC Machining to support the NDT lab and ensure safe, functional lab operations. Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 sign-on bonus available to eligible new hires for the ATDM Precision Manufacturing Technician – CNC Machining role: $500 after 30 days and $500 after 90 days of continuous employment. Subject to taxes.
This position requires eligibility to access controlled unclassified and other regulated technical information in accordance with applicable federal requirements. This role is not eligible for remote work and will be based onsite in Danville, Virginia.
This position works a first-shift schedule designed to support advanced manufacturing operations. You may be expected to work other shifts as business needs determine.
You will play a critical support role in delivering high-quality hands-on instruction for the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) program. By supporting instructors and students in the Nondestructive Testing (NDT) lab, you will help ensure labs are safe, well-equipped, and ready for instruction in a fast-paced, accelerated training environment.
Lab instruction includes the following NDT methods: Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Visual & Optical Testing (VT).
