Job summary

Stoke Space in Seattle is seeking a full-time Additive Manufacturing Engineer to advance metallic AM for propulsion hardware. You will partner with design, manufacturing, and operations to ensure manufacturability and rapid iteration of high-performance components.

This role blends application and process engineering, requiring hands-on machine operation, GD&T, and CAD-driven design for additive manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 3+ years of metal additive manufacturing experience; 5+ years if OTJ equivalent.
• Proficient in CAD, design for manufacturing, and GD&T.
• Willing to relocate to Seattle, WA.
• Experience in aerospace, medical devices, or ISO environments.

Responsibilities

• Produce additively manufactured components for high performance propulsion systems, while reducing cost, improving quality and lead time.
• Own and optimize the total manufacturing process including design for additive, build file programming, work instructions, and quality verification.
• Lead development and deployment of metallic AM hardware with both application and process engineering responsibilities, delivering hardware and meeting milestones.
• Demonstrate ownership by solving tooling/fixture needs and coordinating with external vendors as needed.
• Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, staying focused, self-directed, and adaptive.
