Job summary

Kensington360 is seeking a Senior Additive Manufacturing Engineer in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, to lead the hands-on development and industrialisation of metal additive manufacturing for orthopedic implants and regulated medical products.

You will own the full product lifecycle—from early R&D and DfAM through process validation, scale-up and production—driving quality, reliability, and compliant manufacturing practices on-site.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of additive manufacturing and medical-device engineering experience.
• Hands-on proficiency with L-PBF and EB-PBF systems.
• Experience developing orthopedic implants or regulated medical products.
• Process validation, scale-up and production support expertise.
• Knowledge of AM materials, microstructures and post-processing.
• CAD and AM preparation software experience.

Kensington360 is supporting an established medical-device manufacturer in the search for a Senior Additive Manufacturing Engineer.

This is a genuinely hands-on role leading the development, industrialisation and optimisation of metal additive manufacturing processes for orthopedic implants and other regulated medical products.

You’ll take ownership across the full product lifecycle—from early R&D and DfAM through process validation, manufacturing scale-up and commercial production.

We’re looking for someone with:

• 7+ years of additive manufacturing and medical-device engineering experience
• Strong hands-on knowledge of L-PBF and EB-PBF systems
• Experience developing orthopedic implants or regulated medical products
• Process validation, scale-up and production support expertise
• Knowledge of AM materials, microstructures and post-processing
• CAD and AM preparation software experience
• Experience with lattice structures, ASTM F3001, ISO 13485 and Colibrium Spectra M equipment would be particularly valuable.
