Job summary

Aether Bio in South San Francisco is seeking an Applications Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between our materials and end users. You will work with engineering teams to evaluate, optimize, and expand the use of our polymers in real-world additive manufacturing applications.

This role involves collaborating with customers, resellers, and hardware partners, troubleshooting printing challenges, and developing best practices, technical content, and feedback to guide future product

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in additive manufacturing, advanced materials, or industrial 3D printing applications.
• Hands-on experience tuning and optimizing FDM/FFF printing processes.
• Strong understanding of polymer behavior, print parameter tradeoffs, and additive manufacturing design principles (DfAM).

Responsibilities

• Deploy and optimize materials in customer AM workflows.
• Support pre-sales evaluations and post-sale optimization.
• Travel onsite to assist with printer setup and troubleshooting.
• Guide customers with DfAM to maximize performance.
