Job summary

Velo3D in Houston seeks a Business Development Account Manager to guide target accounts from concept to full-scale additive manufacturing production. You’ll partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to be the dedicated Velo technical engineer and resource for key accounts.

You will collaborate with Applications Engineering and Field Management on challenging part production issues to accelerate adoption of Velo3D’s end-to-end production process.

Qualifications

• Industry experience in design engineering and manufacturing processes (AM, casting, machining, forging, etc.)
• Completed projects that started from early phase development and moved into production
• Ability to self-motivate and manage complex projects to conclusion
• Efficient and effective sales and account management skills
• Customer-facing and project/program management skills
• CAD software design: Solidworks, Siemens NX, AutoCAD, CATIA

Responsibilities

• Lead target accounts into manufacturing production using Velo3D’s end-to-end manufacturing solution.
• Take ownership of target accounts through education and project/program management of all aspects from design to production.
• Leverage design and manufacturing engineering experience to visualize a path to production.
• Design, modify, and analyze CAD geometries and prepare print times and cost quotes for accounts.
• Resolve complex multi-entity issues with internal and external teams and customers.
• Document statements of work and customer acceptance criteria.
• Educate customers on part design allowables and production implications.
• Advise on design optimization for produced parts and communicate findings to customers.
• Collaborate across departments on technical projects and maintain organized records.
