Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree with the required clinical experience per Counselor level.
• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Chemical Dependency, Counseling, or Nursing for Counselor III.
• Acceptable degrees include Social Work, Psychology, Addiction, Counseling, Human Services, Criminal Justice, and more.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for a caseload of clients per program requirements and state regulations.
• Complete required evaluations and assessments, including screening, intake, clinical assessments, ASAM and biopsychosocial histories.
• Complete individual treatment plans upon client's admission.
• Document all clinical services and interventions in the client's electronic health record and complete monthly treatment reports.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records on each client and ensure timely completion within set timeframes.
• Conduct individual and group sessions based on the treatment plan goals and level of care.
• Participate in funding source reviews and make recommendations for treatment and lengths of stay.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Coordinate with agency and community resources to ensure a through treatment plan.
• Assist clients with developing discharge/continuing care plans and connecting to resources.
