Job summary

Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health & Concerted Care Group (CCG) in Brooklyn, MD seeks an Addiction Counselor to lead group and individual sessions in IOP programs, build real treatment alliances, and work with a team that treats co-occurring needs.

Maryland-licensed counselors (ADT/CSC-AD/CAC-AD) with 2+ years in SUD are encouraged to apply. This on-site role offers a supportive clinical environment, ongoing supervision, competitive pay, full benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Maryland credential required (ADT, CSC-AD, or CAC-AD).
• Minimum 2 years in the SUD field.
• Strong clinical, verbal, and written communication.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Familiarity with recovery modalities.

Responsibilities

• Build collaborative, individualized treatment alliances with each patient.
• Facilitate addiction treatment groups at the IOP level of care.
• Design and deliver addiction/recovery education presentations.
• Lead case management sessions: assessments, goals, discharge planning.
• Coordinate care with referral sources, family members, and other providers.
• Address patients' co-occurring psychiatric needs with the team.
• Apply Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and trauma-informed approaches.
• Complete evaluations using DSM-V and ASAM criteria.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation meeting CARF standards.
• Rotate on-call coverage for crises outside business hours.
• Bring energy and a teaching spirit to recovery education.
