Job summary

Gaudenzia in Crownsville, MD is seeking an experienced Addictions Counselor to join our mission-driven team. This full-time position supports individuals on their recovery journey, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing counseling services.

The role requires Maryland licensure or eligibility (ADT or CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGADC, LGPC, LCPC, LCADC or LICSW/LCSW preferred) and a background in human services.

Qualifications

• Maryland education/licensure required or trainee status.
• Acceptable degrees include social work, psychology, addiction, counseling, human services, criminal justice, and related fields.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseload per program requirements and state regulations.
• Complete evaluations and assessments: intake, clinical assessments, ASAM; document histories.
• Compete individual treatment plans at admission.
• Document clinical services in EHR and monthly reports.
• Maintain timely medical records within 24–72 hours of service.
• Conduct individual and group sessions per treatment plan goals.
• Coordinate with resources to ensure a through treatment plan.
• Assist clients with discharge planning and continuing care.
