Job summary

The City of Columbus Public Health seeks an experienced professional to lead an Addiction Services Program, overseeing operations and staff in accordance with state standards.

Starting pay ranges from $37.02 to $55.52 per hour, with responsibilities including program development, grant management, and community outreach; a bachelor’s degree and three years’ experience are required, master’s degree may substitute.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience providing or managing addiction services; master’s may substitute for one year.
  • Knowledge of Strategic Prevention Framework topics and concepts.
  • Familiar with grant funded program operations and prevention billing structures.
  • Experience with community engagement and public speaking.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the Addiction Services Program operations per standards and requirements.
  • Selects, trains staff; handles evaluations, leaves, schedules, and employee issues.
  • Provides direct service coverage according to certification and grants.
  • Diagnoses clients for substance use disorders.
  • Reviews referrals, admissions, discharges, and continued stay.
  • Analyzes quality improvement data and prepares program reports.
  • Supports grant applications, budgeting, reporting, and certification reviews.
  • Participates in service planning, quality management, and policy development.
  • Represents the department to community boards and partners.
  • Supports expansion of addiction services across community.
