Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) seeks a Research Nurse Coordinator to collaborate with the Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) Program Team in caring for opioid dependence within the General Internal Medicine Research (OBAT) division. The role provides clinical leadership, supervises OBOT clinic staff, and delivers skilled nursing care to patients in buprenorphine and vivitrol programs on-site.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited nursing program by time of hire.
BSN preferred.
Massachusetts RN license by time of hire.
OBAT RNs must obtain CARN Certification within one year.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs initial assessment and intake including social/medical/mental health history.
Reviews intake with OBOT team to determine eligibility and care plan.
Provides ongoing education and coordination of services; assists in clinical forms.
Completes documentation with excellent record keeping.
Collects data and specimens as required; maintains accurate records.
Counsels patients on relapse prevention and pharmacotherapy; follows up in person or by phone.
Data collection for bureau of substance abuse services at various stages.
