Job summary

Centurion Health in Indiana is seeking an Addiction Recovery Specialist to provide supportive substance abuse treatment within Heritage Trail Correctional Facility in Plainfield. The role involves outpatient treatment, addiction recovery education, and group counseling for inmates and patients.

The full-time days position requires a Bachelor's degree in a human services field, CADAC II+ or equivalent certification (or ability to obtain within 24 months), plus CPR/BLS/AED and tuberculosis

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services field or related preferred.
• Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor (CADAC II+), LAC, LAC-A or higher, or eligible to obtain within 24 months.
• Must show tuberculosis screening documentation and hold CPR, first-aid, BLS and AED certifications.
• Must pass a background check and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation services within a correctional facility.
• Offer outpatient treatment, addiction recovery education and group counseling.
