Job summary

Spero Health, Inc. is seeking an Addiction Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our team in an outpatient setting in Massachusetts. The NP will provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with substance use disorders, including prescribing buprenorphine when appropriate.

The role emphasizes an integrated care model with behavioral health services and case management. The position requires NP licensure, DEA, and strong collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted NP license in the applicable state.
Experience in addiction medicine with complex populations.
DEA licensure and prescriptive authority in applicable states.
Ability to work on-site with diverse care teams.
Strong time management and communication skills.
Computer literacy and EMR experience.

Responsibilities

Provide initial evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for addiction-related conditions.
Document comprehensively to support professional billing for services.
Educate patients and families to support care goals and plans.
Interpret test results and provide feedback to patients.
Counsel patients on medication adherence and treatment plans.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
Conduct follow-up visits to track progress on medication and treatment.
Coordinate with PCPs and specialists as needed.
Review labs and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Maintain licensure, certifications, and CME credits.
