Job summary

Spero Health, Inc. is seeking an Addiction Medicine Physician or Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient team in Wisconsin. The role involves prescribing buprenorphine and delivering integrated medical and behavioral care to patients with opioid use disorder, within a large OBOT network.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted medical license in the applicable state.
• Experience delivering addiction medicine for complex populations.
• Ability to build relationships with network/community physicians.
• Current, active DEA licensure and prescriptive authority.
• Ability to work on-site with diverse care teams.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Proficient with Electronic Medical Records.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial evaluation, diagnosis and ongoing management for patients with addiction and related health conditions.
• Complete documentation to support professional billing.
• Educate patients and families about illness, prognosis and care plans.
• Interpret test results and discuss findings with patients.
• Counsel on medication adherence and treatment options.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to integrate medical and behavioral health care.
• Conduct patient follow-up visits and monitor progress with medications or treatment.
• Coordinate with PCPs and specialists as needed.
• Review lab results and advise APPs on abnormal findings.
• Oversee and adjust treatment plans as patient progress requires.
• Maintain licensure, certifications and CME credits.
