Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial evaluations of patients, families, and significant others.
• Provide crisis intervention and short-term counseling as needed.
• Offer grief/loss counseling and education on related issues.
• Provide brief psychotherapy and group work addressing addiction-related topics.
• Advise on patient advocacy, advance directives, and ethics consultations.
• Assess and refer transportation, housing, and educational needs.
• Collaborate with case management for discharge planning.
