Job summary

A behavioral health organization in Maplewood, MN, is seeking an ADC Intern to join their passionate team dedicated to transforming lives. You will support clients battling substance use disorders through group and individual therapy while gaining real-world experience. The ideal candidate will have relevant educational background and be eligible for CPR Certification. This internship offers opportunities for professional growth within a supportive community.

Qualifications

• CPR Certification or attain within 30 days.
• Must pass a State of Minnesota Background Check.
• Must possess a current Minnesota Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Run at least 1 group per week for a month.
• Support intake and orientation with clients independently.
• Complete assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Document services provided in appropriate clinical forms.

Skills

Knowledge of core competencies with co-occurring disorders

Motivational Interviewing

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Knowledge of MOUD Model

Education

Internship/practicum course with an approved educational entity
