Job summary

Lucid Motors in Newark, CA is seeking a software engineer to advance ADAS capabilities, focusing on behavior planning, perception integration, and safety features. You will work across ECUs and embedded Linux to deliver end-to-end functionality.

You'll decompose system requirements, validate with unit tests, SIL/HIL, and on-vehicle tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust releases and documentation. Prior experience in embedded automotive software is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS, ECE, Robotics, or related field.
• 0–3 years experience in ADAS/AD, robotics or embedded systems.
• Strong C++ programming and solid software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience developing and debugging on Linux; Git workflows.
• Basic understanding of vehicle dynamics or decision-making for autonomous systems.
• Preferred: NVIDIA Orin or Infineon Aurix, multi-ECU architectures; ROS/ROS 2, DDS or SOME/IP; Python for tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve behavior-planning logic for urban driving, parking, and safety features.
• Integrate ADAS software across ECUs and embedded Linux platforms.
• Decompose system-level ADAS requirements into traceable software tasks.
• Validate software via unit tests, SIL/HIL, test benches, and on-vehicle testing.
• Collaborate with perception, motion planning, controls, HMI, systems, and validation teams.
• Support releases, interface changes, documentation, and Jira tracking.
