Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking an ADAS software engineer to design and implement behavior planning, ECU integration, and validation across embedded Linux platforms. You will collaborate with perception, motion planning, controls, and validation teams to deliver features end to end.

The role emphasizes strong C++ and Linux skills, a solid grasp of software fundamentals, and the ability to translate requirements into actionable tasks. A collaborative, fast-paced environment is expected.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
• 0–3 years of relevant industry or research experience in ADAS/AD, robotics, or embedded systems
• Strong C++ programming skills and a solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals
• Experience developing and debugging on Linux, and with Git-based workflows
• Basic understanding of vehicle dynamics, state machines, or decision-making logic for autonomous systems
• Strong debugging skills, eagerness to learn, and clear communication

Responsibilities

• Behavior Planning: Build and improve behavior planning logic for urban driving, auto parking, and safety features.
• Multi-ECU SW Integration: Integrate ADAS application software across multiple ECUs and embedded Linux platforms.
• Requirements to Code: Break system-level ADAS requirements down into software tasks and keep the implementation traceable to those requirements.
• SW Testing & Validation: Validate software through unit tests, SIL/HIL, test benches, and on-vehicle testing.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with perception, motion planning & control, vehicle controls, HMI, systems, and validation teams to deliver features end to end.
• Release Support: Contribute to software releases, interface change management, and documentation. Track work in Jira with clear, reproducible results.
