Job summary

Aqua-Tots Swim School Orange is seeking a part-time SNAP Instructor to teach students needing adaptive programming. The role focuses on water safety, skill development, and confidence building in a supportive setting. No prior swim instruction is required as training will be provided.

Starting pay is $27+ per hour, with comprehensive training and a pathway to ongoing involvement within a collaborative team environment at Aqua-Tots Orange.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with disabilities in educational, therapeutic, or caregiving settings is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with patience, empathy, and adaptability.
• Must be dependable with good attendance and weekend availability (Saturday or Sunday 3–8 PM).

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction exclusively to SNAP students.
• Adapt lessons to each child’s needs, abilities and learning style.
• Ensure a safe, structured, and inclusive environment during lessons.
• Communicate progress and goals with parents and guardians.
• Attend required training and professional development.
