The Hockaday School is seeking a dedicated substitute teacher to maintain instructional continuity in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will support learning across subjects and grade levels, adapt lessons as needed, and uphold high standards of professionalism and student engagement.

You will collaborate with teachers and staff, document daily progress, and contribute to a respectful, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• Experience in teaching or substitute teaching.
• Ability to manage classrooms effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience using technology for instruction and administrative tasks.
• Flexible, reliable, and adaptable to changing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans and materials provided by the regular teacher or department head.
• Maintain a positive, safe classroom environment.
