Job summary

Special Strong in Rhode Island and Southeast Massachusetts is hiring multiple on-site Personal Trainers to deliver adaptive 1-on-1 training and small group classes for individuals with disabilities. You will use training certifications, CPR/AED, and travel within 15 miles; the team offers flexible schedules, comprehensive training, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• CPR and AED certification required.
• Approved personal training certification or college degree in exercise-related field.
• Available to travel within a 15-mile radius of the posting location.
• Comfortable with smartphones and basic computer operation.
• Prior personal trainer experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with special needs will be high priority.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized 1-on-1 adaptive training and lead small group classes for individuals with disabilities.
• Update and review client profiles; prepare for upcoming workouts.
• Conduct fitness assessments and re-assessments regularly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification
• Approved Personal Training Certification (NCCA/NASM/ISSA/ACE) or College Degree in Exercise-Related Field
• Available to travel within a 15-mile radius of the job posting locationComfortable with smartphones and basic computer operation
• Prior Personal Trainer experience is preferred, but not required
• Any experience (volunteer or professional) with special needs will result in high-priority
