Job summary

Wells Fargo in Newark, NJ is seeking a flexible banking professional to provide personalized support across branch locations. You will cover banker/teller absences, adapt to new teams, and build relationships through proactive outreach.

You will conduct discovery conversations, connect clients with suitable products, and process openings and credit applications. You’ll perform cash handling with strict risk controls.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of customer interaction experience or equivalent.
• Experience in financial services or regulated customer-facing roles preferred.
• Ability to commute to assigned branch locations and travel 100% within geography.
• SAFE Registration required at time of employment; Wells Fargo initiates after start date.
• Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies.
• Not eligible for visa sponsorship; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized banking support across multiple branch locations within an assigned geographic area.
• Cover banker and teller absences and temporarily fill open positions as needed.
• Adapt to new branch environments, teams, and customer needs.
• Build customer relationships through proactive conversations and outreach.
• Conduct discovery-driven conversations to understand customer needs.
• Connect customers with relevant banking products, services, and solutions.
• Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make referrals to meet customer and business goals.
• Support account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
• Perform cash handling and teller line activities.
• Process transactions accurately while maintaining compliance and operational standards.
• Use digital tools and technologies to enhance customer experience.
• Deliver accurate, compliant service within defined risk controls.
• Coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers and other specialists.
• Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities to support branch operations.
