Job summary

WCL Group in Houston, Texas seeks a Legal Analyst to join our Legal Services team onsite. You will support attorneys across regulatory, technology, commercial, governance, and compliance matters, manage documents, and help prepare summaries for review.

You will research and analyze legal and business information, track matters from intake to closure, and use approved AI-enabled tools to improve workflows while handling confidential data.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience involving legal support, regulatory matters, technology-related matter, commercial transactions, compliance, corporate governance, or matter management.
• Ability to learn new subject areas, processes, systems, and stakeholder environments quickly and adapt to changing assignments.
• Ability to analyze complex information, identify relevant facts and issues, and communicate findings clearly and objectively.
• Ability to analyze and communicate legal and business issues across broad functions and org levels.
• Demonstrated discretion, integrity, and sound judgment with confidential information.
• Digital fluency including Microsoft 365 and AI-enabled tools to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide adaptable legal support across different practice groups and projects, quickly learning new subject areas and stakeholders.
• Prepare, review, revise, and organize legal and business documents using templates and attorney direction.
• Analyze and summarize legal, regulatory, technical, commercial, and business information for attorney review.
• Conduct legal and factual research and prepare concise, objective summaries of findings.
• Support matter intake, organization, tracking, reporting, and document management from start to finish.
• Coordinate with attorneys and partners to obtain information and ensure timely delivery of legal services.
• Identify risks and escalate questions to supervising attorney.
• Maintain accurate information in approved matter-management systems and collaboration platforms.
