Job summary

The Jewish Community Center is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Connections and IN day programs. You will plan, coordinate, and oversee recreational, social and educational activities while supporting staff and ensuring safety guidelines are followed.

The role requires managing logistics, training volunteers, and collaborating with the multi‑disciplinary team to meet individualized development goals. Flexible hours and a hands-on leadership approach are valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 3+ years of experience with elderly or developmental disabilities populations.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Experience planning and leading activities; ISP development encouraged.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills.
• Advanced computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee recreational, social, and educational programs for both Connections and IN.
• Provide guidance and training to Program Assistants (DSPs) and supervise volunteers.
• Lead activities and mentor team members to maximize participant development and safety.
• Coordinate logistics: supplies, trips, scheduling, and budget adherence.
• Evaluate activities and adjust programming based on feedback; ensure safety and emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with Adult Day Center team to support transportation, meals, and daily living activities.
