Job summary

The J in Chesterfield, MO is seeking a Program Coordinator for Adult Day services (Connections and IN programs). You will plan, coordinate and oversee recreational, social and educational activities, mentor Program Assistants, manage budgets, and ensure safety guidelines are followed.

Hours are 7:30am to 5:00pm, Mon–Fri, with some evenings and weekend hours. Responsibilities include developing monthly calendars, coordinating trips, training staff, monitoring participant progress toward goals,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; related Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience working with elderly or disabled populations.
• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Experience with planning and leading activities for the population served; ISP development preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to assist with personal care and mobility; able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop monthly event and activity calendars tailored to each program and participants' needs.
• Provide direct support and guidance to Program Assistants to ensure activities meet safety guidelines.
• Coordinate logistical needs including supplies, scheduling trips, and budgeting.
• Lead activities and mentor team members to support cognitive, social, recreational, and physical development.
• Train and supervise volunteers to ensure activities run smoothly.
• Evaluate activities and adjust programming based on feedback for continuous improvement.
• Intervene in crisis situations and support safety procedures.
• Collaborate with the Adult Day Center team to enhance programs and services.
