Spring Independent School District’s Meyer Elementary School in Houston, Texas seeks an Adaptive Behavior (AB) Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The role focuses on students eligible for special education supports, with responsibilities for behavior, academic instruction and case management.

The position is Exempt, 187 days per year, starting immediately. Requires Bachelor's degree, Texas SPED/Gen Ed certificates, and ARD/IEP knowledge; NCI certification is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements and level assigned (Special Education and General Education)
• Acquire and maintain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification

Responsabilités

• Implements instructional and behavioral program aligned with IEPs.
• Coordinates and documents ARD/IEP committees for each student.
• Maintains SBIEP documentation and fidelity of IEP implementation.
• Monitors student progress using academic and behavioral data.
• Collaborates with families and school staff to support student success.
