Encircleall in Roanoke, VA seeks an Adapted Special Education Teacher to educate students aged 5–22 in a private day school. Preference for candidates with SPED licensure, a valid VA driver’s license, and willingness to drive as part of the job. Teaching schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Teaching License with Special Education endorsement or content area endorsement.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Safety-Care Certification (Training provided).
• Must have a valid Virginia Drivers’ License with satisfactory Driving Record (less than 5 demerit points).
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement weekly lesson plans.
• Administer formal and informal assessments to measure student growth and mastery.
• Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
• Identify students at risk and initiate effective interventions.
• Participate in professional development.
• Assist administration in implementing policies and classroom rules; maintain orderly environment.
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and district policy.
• Attend Community School Committee and Advisory Committee meetings.
