Job summary

University of Georgia is seeking a Van Operator to transport passengers with disabilities in an accessible van and support ADA services on campus. You will inspect vehicles, complete required paperwork, and operate AVL and ramp systems.

The role includes occasional front-office duties and library-van routing between Athens and Atlanta, with pre-employment and random drug testing required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate with passengers from diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness to learn university software.

Responsibilities

• Transport passengers with disabilities in accessible van per procedures.
• Inspect vehicle before, during, and after shift.
• Complete timesheets and vehicle condition reports.
• Operate AVL equipment and wheelchair ramps.
• Occasionally assist in front office with scheduling ADA pickups using TransLoc.
• Occasionally drive library van route between Athens and Atlanta.
• Subject to pre-hire and random drug and alcohol testing.
