Job summary

Jefferies seeks an Investment Banking Associate to join its AD&G team in Charlotte. The Associate will execute M&A, advisory, and financing transactions for aerospace, defense, and related industrial clients, offering significant client exposure and direct interaction with senior bankers.

The role emphasizes financial modeling, deal execution, and collaboration with cross-functional product teams to deliver strategic solutions.

Qualifications

3+ years of investment banking, corporate finance, or related experience.
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
Experience executing M&A and/or capital markets transactions.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.

Responsibilities

Execute buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, capital raises, and strategic advisory assignments.
Build and review sophisticated financial models (DCF, comps, precedent transactions, LBO, M&A analyses).
Perform valuation, financing, and strategic analyses to support client transactions.
Prepare client presentations, CIMs, management presentations, and other deal-related documents.
Conduct industry and market research focused on Aerospace, Defense & Government sectors.
Coordinate due diligence and manage workstreams across stakeholders.
Mentor analysts and ensure quality and accuracy of deliverables.
Develop client relationships through transaction execution and business development.
Collaborate with product partners across ECM, DCM, leveraged finance, and sector teams.
