Job summary

Jefferies in New York is seeking an associate for its Aerospace & Defense Equity Research team. You will build and maintain financial models, maintain industry databases, and help produce research reports distributed to clients. You will also assist in preparing earnings and initiation reports while reviewing industry publications and filings.

Over time you will communicate recommendations to sales, traders and clients, and help develop marketing materials for presentations and conferences.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in accounting, finance, or economics.
• 1–2 years of related financial services experience in equity research or IB.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with advanced Excel ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models and industry databases for research reports.
• Assist in writing earnings, company, monthly/weekly, and initiation reports.
• Review sources to gather and interpret data on Aerospace & Defense companies.
• Communicate recommendations to sales, trading and clients; help develop client materials.
