Job summary

Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, TX, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with communication, swallowing, and cognitive disorders across cardiac, neuro, pulmonary and oncology cases.

You will perform assessments, develop plans, document progress the same day, supervise students and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• MS/MA in Speech Pathology or equivalent.
• ASHA CCC or CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) acceptable.
• Licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology.
• BCLS certification.
• Preferred 1–2 years’ experience in speech-language pathology.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments and reassessments to determine therapy needs and goals.
• Delivers speech-language pathology interventions and therapies.
• Documents treatment and progress on the same day.
• Supervises technicians, students, and volunteers.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team on patient status and discharge planning.
• Maintains patient-centered care and adheres to Del Sol Medical Center values.
