Job summary

Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, TX is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a PRN role within a dynamic rehab team. You will assess patients, develop individualized therapy plans, and provide hands-on interventions to restore independence and well-being.

The position emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and compassionate, evidence-based care. In this PRN role, you will monitor progress, document outcomes, and educate patients and families to support recovery.

Qualifications

• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• OT degree or higher in OT (OT) or Bachelors/Masters in OT.
• Minimum 1 year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then developing individualized therapy plans with physicians and care team.
• Delivering skilled, evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitoring progress, adjusting plans, and documenting outcomes thoroughly.
• Educating patients and families to build understanding and engagement during recovery.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care.
• Leading by example and supporting therapy assistants or students while upholding quality and service.

Your role will include:

• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes.
• Educating patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.
• Leading by example—providing guidance to therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (OT) Occupational Therapist, or Bachelors Degree, or Masters Degree
• 1 years experience Required Years of Experience
