Job summary

Rochester General Hospital's RRH Golisano Rehab unit in Rochester, NY seeks an Occupational Therapist to assess and restore patients’ function, alleviate pain, and prevent disabilities through medically prescribed therapy interventions.

You will perform initial evaluations, develop treatment plans with goals, document progress, and coordinate care with other health professionals. This per diem, day-shift position requires NYS OT licensure and strong communication and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• OT degree required; bachelor's, master's, or doctoral level.
• Current NYS Occupational Therapist license or limited permit.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluation using protocols, tests and observations; set goals and adjust plans as needed.
• Maintain documentation of evaluation, treatment, progress and discharge; coordinate with MDs and other professionals.
• Assist with training of new staff and provide guidance to students and volunteers.
