UTHealth Houston is seeking a Psychiatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care for patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs in a behavioral health setting. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and manage care while supporting high-quality outcomes and an exceptional patient experience.
The role emphasizes integrating medical and psychiatric care, providing episodic and ongoing care, and guiding patient
Qualifications
- RN license in Texas required.
- APRN-NP license in Texas required.
- BLS certification required.
- Clinical specialty certification determined by department, excluding FNP unless paired with post-master's certification.
Responsabilités
- Conducts complex nursing procedures as delegated by physicians.
- Rounding on unit independently or with supervision.
- Evaluates patients, provides treatment, and monitors medications.
- Coordinates and implements the patient's plan of care.
- Educates patients on medical processes and health promotion.
- Maintains patient records and prepares charts for review.
- Responds to emergency situations.
