Job summary

AltaPointe Health Systems seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for EastPointe Hospital in Daphne, Alabama. You will participate in admission activities, monitor patient behavior, and administer medications while ensuring safety and adherence to policies.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document accurately, and contribute to treatment planning and crisis intervention as needed.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Alabama.
• Experience providing nursing care in a hospital/psychiatric setting.
• Completion of admission processes and nursing assessments as part of admission workflow.
• Administers medications with adherence to the Six Rights of medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Complete admission processes, including health screenings and medication documentation.
• Observe patient behavior and document observations for shift handoff.
• Provide nursing care and supervise support staff as needed.
• Administer medications and educate patients and families on uses and side effects.
• Coordinate with physicians and treatment team to update care plans.
