Job summary

Mercy seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to provide assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients under Therapy Leadership. The role includes direct supervision of patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians, with supervision of PT assistants in line with State Practice Acts.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s, MS in Physical Therapy, or DPT, and hold current licensure; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, MS in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current or temporary license to practice Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• BLS certification must be current.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adults and geriatric patients.
• Direct supervision of patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians; supervise PT assistants.

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
