Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Acute Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists with packaging, distribution, non-sterile compounding, and record-keeping. This role helps maintain a compliant cleanroom, trains staff, and serves patients under pharmacist supervision.

The day-shift position runs 6:00am–2:30pm with a rotating weekend schedule; incentive of up to $2,500 and weekend/night differentials apply where eligible.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in the state of practice.
• AZ Board Wallet Card at time of hire.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at time of hire (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Identifies medications and items for reorder to maintain inventory.
• Manages users in automated dispensing technology and investigates discrepancies.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients, visitors and staff.
• Restocks medications and uses barcode verification when applicable.
• Compounds non-sterile medications and adheres to USP guidelines.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and documents temperatures and equipment maintenance.
• Handles narcotics following all federal and legal requirements.
• Performs sterile/non-sterile compounding and labeling with proper aseptic technique.
