Job summary

San Benito Health Care District is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide services in acute inpatient and outpatient settings, evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, function, and pain management.

The role requires a current California Physical Therapist license and BLS, with 1–2 years of acute or outpatient experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical experience may be considered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program; master's or doctorate preferred.
• Current Physical Therapist license in the state of practice (California).
• Current BLS certification required.
• One to two years of acute care and/or outpatient experience preferred.
• New graduates with strong clinical experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions for acute and outpatient patients with a variety of conditions.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical needs and goals.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, case management, and other healthcare professionals on patient care and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, home programs, treatment goals, and injury prevention.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Supervise and support PTAs, aides, and students as appropriate.
• Participate in quality improvement, education, and departmental activities while maintaining patient safety and infection control standards.
