AdventHealth is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Orlando, Florida team. The OTA will implement therapy plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, document patient progress in EMR, and educate patients and families on home exercise programs.

The role includes mentoring students and new staff, ensuring safety, and following hospital policies. Requirements include an OTA program credential, an associated degree, BLS CPR, and compliance with Florida

Qualifications

• Associate degree required in OT assistant or equivalent.
• Licensed/certified OTA with BLS CPR required.
• NBCOT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Documents data and progress using EMR and standard practices.
• Provides patient and family education including home exercise programs.
• Mentors students and new staff; supports ongoing education.
• Ensures safety and adheres to infection control and hospital policies.
