Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license; BLS within 2 weeks of hire; other required certifications within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records initial assessment and priorities by patient age and needs.
• Reassesses patients to identify progress requiring intervention.
• Develops and implements a measurable plan of care within Nursing Standards of Care.
• Makes nursing decisions based on data and outcomes; updates the care plan as needed.
• Participates in education and discharge planning for patients and families.
• Implements timely interventions and documents them.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of the plan of care.
• Performs Point of Care testing procedures.
